JWN-5108P
is an IEEE 802.11g Wireless PCMCIA card that can operate in either
Ad-Hoc mode or Infrastructure mode. IEEE 802.11g uses 2.4GHz frequency
band, the same as IEEE 802.11b; but it provides almost 5 times throughput
rate than 802.11b. With the latest innovative Super G technology
integrated, the maximum data rate of JWN-5108P is 108Mbps, which
doubles the speed of standard 802.11g. JWN-5108P is also backward
compatible and interoperable with IEEE 802.11b compliant wireless
devices.
For security matters, JWN-5108P provides 64/128/152-bit
WEP Encryption. JWN-5108P is ideal for any notebook users to handle
with bandwidth consuming applications such as videoconference, multimedia
streams and large file transfer.
